Rachel and Ally are two friends who met on twitter through a shared love of Buster Keaton. Rachel has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Ally has Congenital Muscular Dystrophy — as such, they have plenty of time to watch and review 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die [see The List]. When their task is complete, they have vowed to drive off a cliff like the eponymous heroes of film number 835.

“I like its user-friendliness, unpretentiousness and obvious enthusiasm for film.” ~ @HurstAKA
“If you only read one film blog this year — well, you really ought to think about widening the scope of your cultural curiosity.” ~ T. Bickle
They call him Mister Craig. When he’s not working his way through 1001 films, he plays guitar and sings in jazz-punk trio Bug Prentice. Sometimes he covers songs from old movies under the name The Stanton-Walsh Rule, thus combining his two main interests with stunning efficiency. His other interests include seeing how high he can stack piles of CDs, annoying people with his camera and tending to his alarmingly extensive collection of Futurama figurines. Now you know all the things about him.
“Ally writes […] with a cheeky wit that is seriously infectious.” ~ @panamajama
“Puny and punny.” ~ R. Mosley
“Behatted.” ~ D. Haber
“Admirably svelte.” ~ O. Welles
Rachel is a suburban hermit with her finger on the pulse of yesteryear. There are some who call her Macabre Stanwyck on account of her morbid streak. She is a budding Photoshop maven currently perfecting the arts of photo restoration, colorization and inserting herself into Buster Keaton’s wedding pictures. She is also studying Animal Care because she needs to be taught how to care about animals. Rachel lives in London with two children called Mum and Dad. Their house doubles as a brothel for cats.
“Rachel performs with a gamine charm reminiscent of Anna Karina in Une femme est une femme.” ~ Gardener’s Weekly
“Passionate. Intelligible. Humorous.” ~ K. Widgerane
“Master of the singular hiccup.” ~ S. Coaker
“Rachel’s hatred of Chaplin is further evidence of her impeccable taste.” ~ B. Keaton
